Our Blackbird carbon fiber Vac-Tubes are exceptionally light yet very rigid, reducing fatigue and increasing work speed.

HOW TO:
BUILD YOUR OWN PROFESSIONAL GUTTER CLEANING KIT FOR APPROX. $1000!

*The equivalent Sky-Vac kits costs $3000 to $5000 and has many proprietary parts. It uses the same carbon tubes but the vacuum is too heavy when full and often trips electrical breakers because motors draw too much electricity.
TIPS:
- Strongly recommended – Carrying case for tubes while in van or truck. Our gutter Vac-Tubes come with a heavy duty canvas carry bag.
- Use electrical tape to make tight fit with knuckle fitting and hose fitting. This also protects the carbon vacuum tubes. Some customers put tape around outside female end of each tube for protection.
- Clean often throughout the work day. It’s very important to have rag with you while working and wipe male and female tube ends clean before assembly. Wipe every time you are adding or removing tube sections. Tubes WILL bind if the joint is not kept clean!
- After much testing we find the Ridgid 6.5 amp wet dry vac to be awesome. It’s light, very durable, and low cost. Use it for 3-4 years and buy another one.
- Handle with care. Carbon is both strong and weak. It is amazingly light and rigid but will break if stepped on, smashed against a wall, etc.

MAKE YOUR OWN ROBUST, LOW COST ALTERNATIVE TO GUTTER INSPECTION CAMERAS
We use this all the time and find it to be a good and inexpensive alternative to buying a camera system. Video camera system often require batteries, tend to be heavy, and expensive. Buy a few cheap mirrors from the dollar store or pharmacy. Attach the mirror to a dedicated goose neck instead of disassembling the goose neck from your brush.
Using a mirror attached to an angled goose neck with extendable pole is a fast, robust method to check gutters for quoting and inspection. Effective up to 3 stories.
